Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913 by 22 collegiate women at Howard University to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need. Salisbury Alumnae Chapter has been committed to the mission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. by influencing the debate on public policy and social issues, creating opportunities for higher quality education through the provision of annual scholarships and innovative youth development programs, and stimulating economic growth through partnerships servicing Rowan and Stanly Counties.

SCHOLARSHIP
The Salisbury Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is now accepting scholarship applications. Completed applications are due on March 15, 2026.
The scholarships are open to high school seniors attending Rowan-Salisbury or Stanly County schools, as well as members of the Beta Kappa Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc., Livingstone College, who are not graduating seniors.
